Lender Discussions

Most bank and NBFC decisions on restructuring and settlement are taken by the lender's regional or zonal offices in Hyderabad, or by head offices for larger accounts. Engage with the relationship team early, and escalate formally when needed.

SARFAESI and the DRT

Secured lenders can use SARFAESI to take possession of secured assets after a notice period. Borrowers can make representations to the lender, and appeal to the Debts Recovery Tribunal. Hyderabad has DRT benches covering Telangana, with appeals to the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal. Lenders also file recovery applications at the DRT for larger debts.

Telangana Industrial Health Clinic

The Telangana Industrial Health Clinic (TIHCL) was set up to help revive stressed and sick micro and small enterprises, including through diagnosis and financial support. Check its current schemes and eligibility.

MSEFC for Delayed Payments

Stress often comes from customers who pay late. The Telangana Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council handles MSME claims against buyers under the MSMED Act, with interest on delayed payments. Recovering dues can help fund a settlement or restructuring.

State Industrial Incentives

Pending state incentive claims, such as capital or interest subsidies, can be a source of funds. Follow up claims through the Industries Department.
